Lentulas　に対する月並みな同韻語は、Ihesus です。 それゆえ by my lyf 宣誓の形式で終わる1313行はたぶんオリジナル原文の by Ihesus から lyf にその同韻語を書き換えて写本した 可能性があります。 （写字生の目が次行の同韻語 に飛ばし読みしてそれを 1313行の末尾に書き移しながら その時次の行全部も抜かしてしまい それが1314行のwyf と韻を踏んでlyfで終わる詩行になったのであろうかという校訂です。

1317-8の注釈

すべての他の中期英語バージョンはこの箇所でwife妻のことにふれているので、 D版1318行のオリジナル原文はたぶん 'wife' の同韻語で2行連句の語を結んでいたはずだったという可能性があります。 （D版の写字生達は、1312-3行　by my lif, by your wif, の同じパターンを繰り返していたならば 1317-8行は in your lyfe, in his wyfe,　と写本したはずでしたが、　lyfe, lyf と書き上げました。)

可能な校訂はmy ful vuele my[t]t[e], 意味は'with great evil'（ひどい悪と） 'that is the husband was in a great deal of trouble" (つまり一家の主は非常に困っていました。）となります。
